Complete implementation of design, construction and commissioning of a terrestrial photovoltaic system for own consumption with an installed capacity of 10 MW. Over 20,000 high-performance monocrystalline modules will be located on 104 acres on the so-called “Blue Lagoon” – reclaimed landfill from the activities of “Copper Mining Plant – Pirdop”.

With the operation of the new capacity, the copper plant of Aurubis Bulgaria will optimize its external electricity consumption by about 11,700 MWh per year. The PV plant will cover an average of 2.5% of Aurubis electricity consumption – and even 20% during the daily peak hours.
